1992 Firebird Firehawk Tribute
This latest project is nicknamed "1/10th" as this L98 Formula was
fashioned after the iconic and never seen 1992 Firehawk. There were
only around 250 Formula 350's w/ttops made in 1992 and only 25 of the
original 27 ordered Firehawks produced and modified by SLP
performance in Toms River NJ, hence it being named '1/10th".
Aesthetically it is made to look like the Firehawk from the outside, ronals,
decals, SLP license plate bracket, opened rear scoop in hood etc with the
addition of a 4th gen 6speed console in the interior. After watching the
sale for almost a year by fellow member Danjrz i finally was able to
acquire this car and bring it home July 4, 2011, God Bless the USA! After
spending the summer and fall working on the tiny tidbits and bodywork,
the car was re-sprayed in November of this year. Future plans are to
replace some additional parts like the cats and maybe shocks/springs
and just enjoy it in stock form. Thank you to the members who helped
